Tianqiao (Overpass) is a peculiar plank road built along the cliff, more than 300 meters long and less than one meter wide. It is over 200 meters up to the mountaintop, which peaks among the clouds, and more than 300 meters below to the bottom of a gully. On a cloudy day, walking on the bridge makes one feel like an immortal ascending with the clouds.
Huitou Wang Bailong (Cypress Dragon) Tree is a cypress with a history of several thousand years. The dragon¡¯s ¡°horns¡± are composed of cypress leaves that are green year round. The tree is one of the wonders of Mianshan Mountain, as it looks like a dragon shaking its head and tail when the mountain wind blows.
Shizhai used to be China¡¯s most dangerous military stronghold. It was built by Shi Le, a legendary figure who rose from slavery to become an emperor. Built against a mountain, Shizhai has deep abysses at three sides and ravines at its back. It served as a natural barrier with three lines of defense and various traps, constituting a strongly fortified military site.
